勤奋英语作文 篇1
“Diligence is the mother of good luck,”as the saying goes, which means hard work andperverance bring about fortune and success. However, it does not mean exerting onelf allday and night without rest, food or sleep.
From my point of view, diligence is of vital significance in one’ s life and career. There aresome reasons as follows. Firstly, industrious spirit is an indispensable quality that makes aperson stand out, as most people are biologically endowed with almost the same IQ. Seco
ndly, diligence leads to accomplishments while laziness must result in failure. An idle man indulgeshimlf in creature comforts. That he is doomed to failure is of no doubt. Lastly, diligencehelps remove ignorance, overcome difficulties, and enlighten the mind.
Therefore, it can be said that being diligent costs nothing but is worthy of millions ofdollars. All in all, I hold the view that diligence is crucial in one’s life.

The Great Wall of China is called the "Ten thousand Ii Great Wall" in Chine. In fact,it' s more than 6 000 kilometres long.
It winds its way from west to east, across derts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the a.It is one of the wonders of the world. The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries.
The first part of it was built during the Spring and Autumn Period.During the Warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the borders of the different kingdoms. It w
as during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the dif ferent parts into one empire.
To keep the enemy out of his empire,Emperor Qin Shi Huang had all the walls joined up.Thus, the Great Wall came into being. The Great Wall is wide enough at the top for five hors or ten men to walk side by side.Along the wall are watchtowers, where soldiers ud to keep watch.
Fires were lit on the the towers as a warning when the enemy came.It was very difficult to build such a wall in the ancient days without any modern machines. All the work was done by hand.Thousands of men died and were buried under the wall they built. The Great Wall was made not only of stone and earth, but of the flesh and blood of millions of men.
Today the Great Wall has become a place of interest not only to the Chine but to people from all over the world. Many of them have come to know the famous Chine saying:"He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."
I said to him that the Chine people are the most diligent.
勤奋英语作文 篇3
For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay entitled The Significance of Industry by commenting on the saying, “If you have a great talents, industry will improve them; if you have but moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiency .” You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words. Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.
As Thomas Alva Edison said that genius is one per cent inspiration,ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Learning from Thomas Alva Edison, we would firmly believe that industry leads to success. In the early year, Edison was too stupid to be ordered to quit school. But later, with the help of his mother, Edison drew interests in reading and was very widely read. It was his hard-work learning that offers him the methods and the thoughts. In order to test out the most suitable material of wire, Edison tries more than 3000 materials. Other inventors like Edison who want to invent bulb failed to meet with success becau they lost the faith and patience to try. When they failed to try hundreds of wires, t
hey gave up. Edison strongly believed that although he had less talent, but hard working may compensate for capacity deficiency. Finally, he becomes the inventor of the bulb.
So it is important to be industrious. If you have a great talents, industry will improve them; if you have but moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiency.
勤奋英语作文 篇4
Life is a struggle. I shall never forget the most striking part of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow' s poem -- A Psalm of Life:
"In the world's blood field of battle, In the bivouac of life, Be not like dumb, driven cattle! Be a hero in the strife!"
Ludwig van Beethoven was a typical "hero in the strife". He was not only one of the greatest compors, but also one of
the most pervering men. As a deaf man, he went on working with his strong will in the last year of his life, though he
was not able to hear his own fine and original music. Another example of persistence in struggle is Deng Yaping. She once
said that her technique came from continuous training, emphasizing the importance of daily practice to a player.
