Mill Test Reports-MTR’s are required for each component of the bolt asmbly. This report contains the chemical and mechanical requirements of the ASTM designation to which the component was manufactured. It assigns a unique to number to the component.
螺栓装配的每一个组件要有钢厂试验报告-MTR。该报告要求符合按ASTM 标号生产的螺栓的化学和力学要求。这些组件具有一独特的编号。
Bolt asmbly-A bolt asmbly has up to three components, a bolt, a nut and a washer (the number of washers will vary depending on the pre-tensioning method, hole type and connection material). The asmbly consists of a combination of one manufacturing lot for each component. Each combin
ation of components, is assigned a “Bolt Asmbly Lot Number” when any component lot is changed, a new bolt asmbly lot number must be assigned.

Snug tight - the snug-tightened condition is defined by the RCSC as “the tightness that is attained with a few impacts of an impact wrench or the full effort of an ironworker, using an ordinary spud wrench, to bring the connected piles into firm contact.”

Verification Procedure for F1851 & F2280 “Tension Control Bolt” Installation

*Select a minimum of 3 samples from each asmbly lot, that is to be ud in the works. The will be your test asmblies.

*Examine the MTR’s to confirm the test results satisfy the requirements of the specification for each component. Record the lot numbers.
检查试验报告MTR,看每一组件的试验结果是否符合技术条件的要求。记录批号。
*Check bolt asmbly components for manufacturer and grade markings. (attachment #4)
检查装配组件的制造商和等级标记。(附件 #4)
*Confirm that the bolt tension calibrator has been calibrated within the last year.
确认螺栓张力校准器已作校准,并在有效期内。
*Confirm the bolting crew’s procedure and proper u of the installation method.

Obrved the performance of pre-installation verification steps:
预安装验证步骤:
1.Place the bolt asmbly into the bolt tension calibrator with
washer(S) located as they will be in the steel work.
如同装于钢制工件上那样放置垫圈,将螺栓装配件放入螺栓张力校准器中;
2.“Snug Tighten” the asmbly in the tension calibrator
在张力校准器中恰当地拧紧装配件;
3.Tighten the asmbly with a TC(Torsional Calibrated?)Wrench,
until the spin tip shears off the bolt.
用 TC(校准的扭力)扳手紧固装配件,直至螺栓端部的梅花
卡头断开。
4.Record the pre-tension indicated on the tension calibrator
记录在张力校准器上所指示的预紧力。
5.The pre-tension developed must be equal to or greater than 105%
of the minimum pre-tension required., for the grade and diameter,
of bolt tested (refer to the table on RCSC book)
获得的预紧力,必须等于或大于试验螺栓的等级和直径所要求
的最小预紧力的 105%(参照 RCSC 手册上的表格)。
6.If the actual tension developed in the calibrator is less than 1.05%
(105%)of the minimum specified pre-tension, “the cau(s) shall be determined and resolved before the fastener asmblies are ud in the work.”
