                          Unit 3 What does he look like?
                             
一、教材分析:  本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象(look), 教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点, 因此 ‘Describe people’s looks’ 是教学重点。
二、教学目标:
1、语言知识: 通过学习,掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型。
1)单词:
名词: hair, beardheightbuildcaptainteam,joke, glasslook, singer, dreamer.
形容词:curly, straight, thin, heavy, tall, medium, blonde, brown, wi, popular,good-looking,  动词:wear, stop, remember, say---says  副词:always,never be之前,实义动词之后)
不定代词:nobody,everyone(不定代词做主语,谓语动词要用第三人称单数形式。)
2)短语: look like,have straight/short/long/curly hair, be medium build, be medium height=have a medium height,the captain of,be popular,have short curly blonde hair,have beautiful long black hair,tell jokes, a little bit + ,stop doing, stop to do,like doing, wear glas

3)句型: What + do/does + 主语 + look like?
          主语 + have/has + long/short/curly/straight hair.
          主语 + be + tall/short/medium height.
          主语 + be + thin/heavy/medium build.
.2、语言技能  能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,并能结合实际生活熟练地对外貌特点进行描述,或根据描述画出人像。
3、德育目标:要注重个人形象(发型、着装打扮等)
 三、教学重难点:  运用所学的有关词汇,短语及句型,描述人的外貌特征。新词汇的运用,特别是hasis的正确使用,是本单元的一个难点。
四、教学方法:
1)情景交际法:本单元话题源自生活,立足这一点,充分利用学生已有的知识和经验,创设生活化的真实情境,引导学生在运用中学习语言,然后在学习新的语言知识后创造性
地运用语言(为用而学,在用中学,学了能用)。
2)任务型语言教学法:设计多种任务活动,提供给学生合作交流的空间和时间,促使学生为完成任务和同学进行合作,为完成任务进行探究学习。
五、学生情况分析:本单元用来描述一个人的外貌特征的句型并不多,但相关单词的记忆对学生来说难度较 大,需要每天听写以督促过关。

4.  胖瘦:  主语 + be + thin / heavy / medium build.
  (注意:描述人时,用fat并不礼貌,委婉一点的说法是用heavy.)

区别:look like “外观上  be like则是指品德,相貌上像
2.(1)询问某人长得什么样子 What + do/does + 主语 + look like?
2What's sb. like? 用于提问人的性格、品质等,意为他是个什么样的人?,句中like是介词
3What does sb. like?意为他喜欢什么?”like是动词。

good-looking 指(外表上)看上去令人愉快的,好看的,漂亮的,可指男孩,也可指女孩。
5a little bit意思是有一点儿,用来修饰形容词或副词,作程度状语,相当于a littlea bit
a littlea bit在作定语时用法有所不同:a little后可以直接跟不可数名词,而a bit后需加of, 再接不可数名词。
