Women Should Be Allowed to Serve in the Military
Along with the advance of society, the human race has entered a completely new stage in its history. Women are playing a more and more important role in our daily life. In every profession, we can e women working there, so it is the same with military. It is quite natural that people from different backgrounds may have divergent attitudes towards it. Here are there main opinions:
First, some people advocate that women should be allowed to rve in the military, becau it is a symbol of human rights. "All men are created equal" from The Declaration
of Independence indicates that we all have the right to rve in the military. An article in the Army Times on July 29 1996 states that some women are doing attributes to become combat soliders, if we women can pass the same tests as men, why should we be turned away? According to the statistics from report, America is the country which has more than 320000 women soliders, taking up 40 percent of the whole world. This is the sufficent evidence to show how important the women soliders are in the military,so women should be allowed to rve in the military. However, other people hold that whether women should be allowed to rve in the military has nothing to do with human rights, it is just becau of women's physical constitution. Women are born with weakness,the training in military is cruel, women are easy to get hurt, which does harm to their health. Furthermore, conclusion conducted by MO Human Performance Laboratory appears that even women have the same strength as men,they cannot exhibit completely. For this reason, they insist that women should do some work that is safe instead of rving in the military.

What impression that women gives us is that they are timid and like crying, but army will make their will stronger and think more maturely. Additionally, we can suppo that if women rve in the military, the economy will develop rapidly. The reason is that the number of the army is certain, when there are some women soliders, the amount of men soliders will definitely decrea, so there will be more men to work in the factory and soon on to make contributions to our society. There is a data shows that, a total of 50005 women rved in the military in Russia in 1973, accounting 5 percent of all active duty personnel. To Septmber 2005, this number has incread to four times the original. This shows that women soliders are qualified for the modernization of army. While some people frown on it. They contend that women in the military will cau the mass of management becau women need more care, sometimes they even need men soliders to take care of them. There is a figure in 2004 Olympic Track and Field Event Record , shows that the best record in 100-meter foot race kept by men is 9.84s while women is 10.6s, 8 percent slower than men. If they are training, then men have to run s
lowly to wait women soliders, which can decrea the efficency of the regular training. What's wor, this will also bring a large burden to our country, which has deviated from the purpo to establish the military. The aim of military is to defend our country and make people live a happy life. If they have influenced development of our country's ecomomy, the military will lo its meaning to exist.
Last but not the least, people who argue for women's joinging to the army believe that women themlves have their own advantages to be qualified for a women solider. Women are exceedingly thoughtful and considerate. When women are doing something, everything is well organized, while most men can't make it. On the contary, most men have violent temper, they are usually disruptive, which is easy to cau conflict, while women will not. According to U.S Military Women , the proportion of jobs open to women is like this: Coast Guard and Air Force are 100 percent , Navy is 59 percent and Marine Corps is 20 percent. In this area, women can do better than men becau they are more patient and careful. However , the anti-side claim that men can also do well in this if they value their job. n military surgeon may not carry a patient, but a man can, they just need a little more effort, then they will do better. In addition, women are more emotional while men are more rational. Being a women solider, they have too much solicitude, such as missing their family, so they are easy to be abnt-minded, but men ldom do this. Therefore, women should not be allowed to rve in the military.
As far as I am concerned, I support the idea that women should be allowed t rve in the military. Though there are many difficulties and disadvantages, we can conquer them one by one by using our superiority completely. Everyone should be given such an opportunity to achieve themlves. where there is a will, there is a way. I firmly convince that if women are given such a chance, they will be the most beautiful landscape of the military!
