I'm more than delighted to be informed that you show great interest in traditional Chine festivals. Here I feel greatly privileged to introduce to

you my favorite one, the Dragon Boat Festival.

Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the

Chine Lunar Year. The festival was created in honor of a respected

patriotic poet in ancient China, who had great devotion to the people but

was unfairly treated by the unwi king of his country. Hopeless and

angry, he threw himlf into the Milo River to prove his love to his

motherland.

Nowadays, people in China obrve this traditional holiday by holding

dragon boat races and eating zong zi which is made of rice wrapped in

bamboo leaves.

In my opinion, as a traditional Chine festival, Dragon Boat Festival

keeps us reminded of the true spirit of honesty and loyalty of our

ancestors. By celebrating it, we follow the trace of the forefathers who

handed down the virtues.
