Good afternoon ，ladies and gentlemen!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech!

my topic is Opportunities and Challenges.

First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you?

Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something el. If I had

asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had

said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice

of opportunity.”

Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to

China is the 2015 Olympic Games. Till now, we have ud two

venths of the preparation time. How much changes have you

en? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising

equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and

also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.

Other than tho, there are even more good effects brought

to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be en directly. For

example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m

sure the mysterious Chine culture will attract them strongly.

And the games will also do good to the economy and

environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors

and the awareness of environmental protection is being

strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique

opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chine

youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that

we have en so many advances, could you even imagine us

losing the holding rights?

I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I

think everyone should u some time to think of this

question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning

to you?”

For us, I mean the Chine youth, 2015 Olympic Games is a

tremendous gift. Becau what we are waiting for is to do

something significant as repaying the love given to us .The

society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving

his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How

charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true

life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will e the

Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will

have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games.

And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will

give comfort to others.

At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go

well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us ize

opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.

thank you very much for choosing to e in such a cold night。today my topic is about choice and process。a rearch shows

that a man has to make 73 choices one day。with so many

choices one day， people easily get so confud and afraid of

making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true

part of life。 in my opinion， the following part is of much more

importance than the choice。 there is no absolute right or wrong

choice but wonderful or boring life， which the process makes

the difference。

life is a box of chocolate，you never know what you will get。

forrest gump made no decision by and for himlf but he

acplished great success with his strong will in the process。 the

process is not the road itlf but the attitudes and feelings ，the

caution， courage and persistance we have as we encounter new

experience and unexpected obstacles。 take mylf as an

example， i changed my major when i became a postgraduate。

after the choice，days have been harsh for me。i cannot

understand the new lessons at all。 for they are cloly related

to mathmatics which i learned nothing about before。 however

wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience

new ideas and challenge mylf，i persisted。 i asked for help

from every channel and reorgonized my life。 gradually i could

understand some parts and even found maths interesting。moreover， i learned to act instead of plaining。 in retrospect，the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and

bitterness of the past four months bees an unforgetable

experience in my life。

no matter what the choice is， enjoy the process。 in the

process， your potential will be inspired and new discoveries，improvement and progress will e to you。 the are the most

beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you e it。the

make your life colorful。

there is no need and i donnot want to judge whether it right

or wrong for me to be here，but i congratulate to mylf for i

gain and enjoy this fantastic experience。 so my dear friends，never worry about your choice and enjoy the process。 i am sure

you will get something new and intersting tonight after you

Honorable Judges, fellow students:

Good afternoon!

Recently, there is a heated debate in our society. The college

students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive

exceptional education at extraordinary places. But will we be able

to face the challenge and support ourlves against all odds? Will

we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept

the responsibility of building the future of our country?

The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost

generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But

the cynics are wrong. The college students I e are eagerly

learning about how to live independently. We help each other

clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take

part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we

neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics

are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom,

we treasure justice, and we ek truth.

Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood

type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who

suffer from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning

point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or

faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future

of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we

are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish.

I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any

challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to

assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to u the education

we have received to make our world a better place. I believe in

our future.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

My topic is Honesty.

As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited

Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee

for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James,

and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a

true story.

65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5

years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a

creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He

was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.

He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of

guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through

his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling

intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his

childish error. In 2002, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the

Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm

welcome.

When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time

and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It

has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing

is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should

try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would

like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good

moral character.

Good afternoon everybody! It's my honor to speak here and

I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to

talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I

have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel

my great country.

I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents

have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive

and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant

vegetables and grow rice themlves; even in their old age they

still make food for themlves! I guess that is why they can

remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never

ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common,

but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I

do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand

children to be running around in my hou”. I want to live a long,

healthy and happy life just as they have.

Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every

time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will

not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad

childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does

not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all

their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life

as well.

I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to e the

beauty of our country. I want to e the miracles that made this

country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north

all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can

travel and e my country with my family and friends! If that is

not possible, eing my country on my own is good enough also.

If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me

away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and

prosperous life.
