《You Have Only One Life》

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much

that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them

for real! Dream what you want to dream;go where you want to

go;be what you want to be,becau you have only one life and

one chance to do all the things you want to do.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough

trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you

human, enough hope to make you happy? Always put yourlf in

others’ you feel that it hurts you,it probably hurts the

other person, too.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of

everything;they just make the most of everything that comes

along their ess lies for tho who cry,tho who hurt,

tho who have arched, and tho who have tried, for only they

can appreciate the importance of people

who have touched their begins with a smile, grows

with a kiss and ends with a brightest future will always

be bad on a forgotten past, you can’t go on well in lifeuntil

you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around

you was your life so that when you die, you're the one

who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Plea nd this message to tho people who mean

something to you,to tho who have touched your life in one way

or another,to tho who make you smile when you really need

it,to tho that make you e the brighter side of things when

you are really down,to tho who you want to let them know that

you appreciate their if you don’t, don’t

worry, nothing bad will happen to you,you will just miss out on

the opportunity to brighten someone’s day with this message.

I am writing this the day before I find out my fate —the day

before I know the answer to what will happen in my life.

I am determined to e the world in every aspect that may

be possible for me. I am sure that I will become

something, even if the envelope that carries my life inside it

carries bad news.

I will not listen to tho who insist that a university degree is

the only way you will find a means of living the days. I have

experienced what I like to live, and I will tell mylf that even if

that envelope is a rejection, I will carry on and go on to e

mountains, swim in the a and count the stars. I know I must

continue to live my life the way I know how to.

The envelope that will reach my mail-box tomorrow will

bring an answer that I am ready to bear with courage and lf-

respect. I am independent by nature. I accept who I am and will

continue to live regardless of whether or not I am accepted into

a college. I will always be true to mylf and to

tho around me. I will remember my friends, acquaintances and

idols, and I will wish them the best of luck in life.

The envelope that is to reach my hou will not only be a

letter, but rather a decision that I will make with my life.

I am confud, as most people of my age around

this time are, but I will not look back. I will only look toward

tomorrow and greet each day with a smile wherever I may be.

Many scientists, from their earlier work, know enough to

make good guess on the solutions to the problems they are

working on.

In making new discoveries, they may u trial-and-error, they

may u past experience, or they may try to find

out what others have discovered. They may come up with new

experiments and new ways of testing their results. Scientists have

to train themlves to u their brains efficiently; that is, they

train themlves to think.

For example, when Thomas A. Edison was trying to make an

electric lamp, he needed a substance for the filament* inside the

bulb that would glow brightly without burning up quickly. He

tried more than a thousand different filaments before he found

one that he could u. After each trial he thought about how the

new substance had behaved. He kept notes and compared results.

After he had experimented for a long time, someone asked Mr.

Edison if he was ever discouraged by the time they thought he

had wasted. He replied, "I have not been wasting time. I have just

found a thousand materials that won’t work. Now I can look for

others that will." Edison’s statement is important. Above all,

scientists demand to know when and where they are wrong. A

good question to ask in science is not, "Am I right? "but, "Am I

wrong?"

Scientists spend many years studying and training

themlves to u their brains and the tools of investigation.

They also u each other’s work. Isaac Newton,

the famous British scientist who lived over 300 years ago, once

said he saw further than others becau he stood on the

shoulders of giants.
