It is indeed difficult to live without a mobile phone as it helps

us in day to day activities. I cannot live without a mobile phone.

Today's generation us mobile phones for chatting, surfing and

playing games. They don't u the mobile phone for the real

purpo. I admit that living wothout a mobile phone is extremely

difficult but I can live without addicting apps like Facebook,

Twitter etc. The iPhone is a gadget that is encouraging to u

social apps and addicting games. The gadgets though facilitate

our work but are making us their slaves. For example, if a person's

iPhone is not working properly, he will be filled with anger. As

new technology is creating new gadgets, so are people raising

new demands. They also hamper academics. Buy a mobile phone

but u it for something productive.

Knowledge and power are the two things most desired by

man. There is clo connection between the two things. The

man, having done his best in acquiring knowledge, will easily get

a high position and perform it successfully.

Power depends on knowledge. Knowledge to power is just

like a compass to a ship, by which her sailing is made safely across

an unknown ocean. A great statesman or a learned scholar can

render (give) his good rvices to his country just becau he has

perfect and profound knowledge.

Power only follows knowledge. A man cannot do anything

well unless he has some information as how to do it well. A man

will sometimes lo his way in a strange land; an apprentice

cannot produce any delicate work. Why are the so? Becau

they are in want of knowledge. If the apprentice wishes to

produce good work, he must pay attention to his instructor’s

advice.

We are all the future masters of our country. Our country

needs our rvices. How can we fulfill our future tasks? To get

more knowledge is the only answer.

accomplish this object one must be patriotic (love his country)。

I consider this an unchangeable truth.

How can a student love his country (be patriotic)? I find my

answer very simple and clear. He must study hard and store up

knowledge so as to rve his (the) country in the future. If every

student can do according to what I said, the country will certainly

be rich and powerful.

Today is an exciting day. In the morning we had the singing

contest. Everyone did well in it. Somebody sans lyrics and

somebody didn’t. When the result came out, only Audrey and

Ellison could be in the cond run. Vanessa was very sad. But

finally she was in the cond run. It was really great news for her.

We stayed in our rooms for the whole afternoon. We played

cards, slept, read, practiced some English songs for the contest

and did out homework. It was a little boring.

In the evening, we had the final singing contest. It was really

great. At last, Vanessa got the cond prize. Congratulations to

her! All of us were proud of her. Edle gave her a bunch of flowers!

Then we returned to our rooms.

It was really a good day today!
