The City Mou and the Country Mou

Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mou lived in the

country; the other mou lived in the city. After many years the Country mou

saw the City mou; he said, "Do come and e me at my hou in the country."

So the City mou went. The City mou said, "This food is not good, and your

hou is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and

live in the city. You would live in a nice hou made of stone. You would have

nice food to eat. You must come and e me at my hou in the city."

The Country mou went to the hou of the City mou. It was a very good

hou. Nice food was t ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they

heard a great noi. The City mou cried, " Run! Run! The cat is coming!" They

ran away quickly and hid.

After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mou said,

"I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer

to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid."

ourhealth. The adults often say “The body is capital.” But why are they able

jobs to supplement our pocket money.

The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the

need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for

each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we ek truth. Last week,

thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a

contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.

As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our

lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly

impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow

classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I

believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our
