Figure and Ground二年级数学上册期中测试卷
戴诚 The traditional linguists divided the clau into three components: subject, predicate and object. And according to figure-ground theory, the subject-S is regarded as the figure, which is the 突显 part and the object-O is regarded as the ground, becau O is not so 突显as the S. The predicate-V indicates the relationship between S and O. In oral English, speaker emphasize different parts through stress, therefore, the S is not necessary figure and O is not necessary the ground. However, in writing material, people have to achieve the purpo by employing the 强调句。
For example:
(1) It is I that (who) like reading novels in the library after school.
(2) It is novels that I like reading novels after school.谢谢作文
(3) It is in the library that I like reading novels after school.
(4) It is after school that I like reading novels in the library.
小怜玉体The ntences above can be viewed as emphasizing different parts of “ I like reading novels in the library after school.”
(5) In (1) It is I that (who) like reading novels in the library after school., “I” is figure, “novel” , “in the library” and “after school” are ground. Therefore, the figure “I” is the the 突显part, is the center of topic, focus of attention, the “novel” and others are 参照点,through which people can clearly recognize the 对象 they are talking now. In (2)It is novels that I like reading novels after school. Becau the application of 强调句“novel” becomes the figure and “I” becomes the ground.
子廉 以此类推,both the figure and ground are 不可或缺的。But the the choice of
different of 参照点 will make different parts become figure. The choice of 参照点 reflects people different perspectives of obrving things. In (3), (4) the figures of the ntences are “in the library” and “after school” respectively.山东医学高等专科
