The Comparison Between The Novel And The movie
------ Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone
It is very intriguing for our group to read the novel Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone and the movie which is bad on the book. The novel is really a success. Both the novel and the movie revolve around Harry Potter, an orphan who discovers at the age of eleven that he is a wizard, living within the ordinary world of non-magical people, known as Muggles. His ability is inborn and such children are invited to attend a school that teaches the necessary skills to succeed in the wizards’ world. Harry becomes a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and it is here where most of the novels' events take place. As Harry develops through his adolescence, he learns to overcome the problems that face him: magical, social and emotional, including ordinary teenage challenges such as friendships and exams, and the greater test of preparing himlf for the confrontation that lies ahead.
We think both the novel and the movie are wonderful. Since the movie is ba on the novel,
there are some similarities and differences between the novel and movie. So our group made a comparison and analyzed the similarities and the differences between them.
Ⅰ. The similarities:
For the movie is bad on its novel, both of them tell the same story. So there are many similarities between them. Therefore, in this part, we are going to summary the similarities. And we divided the similarities into three parts: the same narrative order, the same plot and the same lines of the protagonists.主角

The novel and the movie are both introduce a story, so they both u the time order.
B. The same plot:
Harry Potter is an average bespectacled 11 years boy who has lived with the Dursley family ever since his parents died in a car crash.For some reason the family has always
mistreated him .On his 11th birthday a giant man named Rubeus Hagird hans him a letter telling him that he has been accepted as a student at the Hogwarts School. Young Harry Potter discovers the life he never knew he had, the life of a wizard. In his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he meets his two best friends Ron Weasley, an expert at Wizard Chess, and Hermione Granger, a girl with non-magic parents. Harry learns the game of Quiditch and Wizard Chess on his way to facing a Dark Arts teacher who is bent on destroying him.
C. The same lines of the protagonists:
Harry James Potter: The main character of the book who parents were killed by the dark sorcerer Lord Voldmort when he was only one year old. He was adopted by his uncle and aunt.Later he was admitted for training at Hogwarts and became a freshman at Gryfindor.
Hermione Jane Granger: She is one of Harry Potter’ best friends who met Harry at the school train. A freshman at Gryfindor春雨像.
Ronald Billius Weasley: He is one of Harry Potter’ best friends who met Harry at the school train. A freshman at Gryfindor.

Ⅱ. The differences
As we all know, the novel is very long. And in the movie, the director cannot show every p
lot, so there must be many differences in the movie. Our comparison is major on this part.
Here we divided the differences into
Different plot:
①. At the beginning of the novel, many wizards went to the non-magical world to celebrate that the most evil man Voldmort七月八月九月 in the wizards’ world was beaten by the magical baby Harry Potter. However, this plot is missing in the movie.
②. On the day of Dudley’ birthday, the Dursleys invited other people to the zoo. However, only were Dursleys and Harry went to the zoo.
