Abstract
Several new stripe rust pathogen races emerged in the wheat growing regions of China in recent years.The races were virule n t to most of the desig nated wheat edli ng resista n ee gen e s.Thus,it is necessary and worthwhile to ide n tify new valuable resista n t materials for the sake of diversify!ng resista n t sources,pyramidi n g differe n t resista nee genes and achievi n g durable resista nee.Here,we ide ntified the resista nee gene,temporarily designated as YrH9017,in vj^eat-Psathyrostachys huashanica introgression line H9017-14-16-5-3.A total of146F2plants and their derived F23families in a cross of Mingxian169 and H9017-14-16-5-3were ud to evaluate edli n g stripe rust respon and as a mappi n g populati o n.Fin a lly,we constructed a genetic map including eight simple quenee repeat(SSR)markers and expresd quence tag(EST) markers.YrH9017\nqs located on the long arm of chromosome2Aand cloly linked with two EST-quenee tagged site (EST-STS)markers BG604577and BE471201at1.3and1.8cM distance,respectively.The two clost markers could be ud for marker-assisted lection of YrH9017'\n breeding.
