CETR UMT-2 Multi-Specimen Test System Ur’s Manual
1Calibration Procedures
弗罗洛李满基All nsors are factory calibrated, and an option file containing the calibrated values is
created for each nsor. If that file is lost or corrupted the following methods may be ud
to restore the file.
1.1 Force/load Sensor Calibration Procedure
a.Disconnect the nsor cable and remove the nsor from the UMT-2, and reconnect it
using the extension cable.
b.Install a holder capable of supporting the calibration weight to be ud and place the nsor
on a level, flat surface, holder side up.
优美词汇c.Click on the Graphs Panel button. The Automatic Panel should appear displaying
the default Fx and Fz
d.Click on the Semi-Automatic Panel button. The Semi-Automatic Panel will appear.
Select the Data-1 tab and click on the 1111 button to un-bias the nsor.

Panel.
f.Place the calibration weight on the holder as shown below and note the reported value
displayed at the right side of the Automatic Panel.

Channels, Fz and note the value in the Scale +/-box.
h.Perform the following calculation:
(AV / MV) * OS = NS
Where:
AV=Actual Value of the calibration weight being ud
千人衣MV= the Measured Value from the Automatic Panel
OS = Old Scale Value taken from the Scale +/- window in the Option file
天骄小学NS = New Scale Value to be entered in the Scale +/- window.
Do not u the (–) when performing the calculations.
Example: In a UMT-2 with a 500 g nsor (DFM-0.5) where the Scale +/- value (Old Scale) value was previously t at 497, and a 400 g calibration weight reports a value of – 402 g, the formula would be (400 / 402) * 497= 494.5 which is the New Scale value to be entered in the Scale +/- window.
Click Options, Save as to overwrite the Option file for this nsor and to save the new values. Note: Scale should be 1 for standard 2-D (Fx and Fy) nsors and offt should be zero.
i.See the figure above for proper weight placement to adjust Fx.
j.Before attaching the weight, adjust the Fx pot for 0 N.
k.Repeat steps d through f to complete Fx calibration.
l.Repeat step g and enter the New Scale value for Fx into the Fx Scale+/- box. Click Options, Save as to overwrite the Option file for this nsor and save the new values.
Note: Scale should be 1 for standard 2-D (Fx and Fy) nsors and offt should be 0.
m.Install the nsor in the UMT-2.
n.Adjust the Fx and Fz pots to within 3% of zero. U the Bias All button to zero nsors before starting tests.
