When we first moved into our prent home, the hous only had a chain-link fence （铁丝网围栏）between them. People behind us were older；their children were in their late teens, and we didn’t e them or hear from them much.
Time pasd and a younger family moved in. While at first we thought this would be fun for the kids, it quickly became a pain. If one of our children had a birthday party the neighbors would line up their children along the back fence to watch. We would have invited their children if they had been of the same age.
