单元教学设计
一. 教材分析
本单元是初中英语教材(Success with English )Book 1的第六单元,本单元的重点学习内容如下:
搏斗近义词1. 复习已学过的方位介词
2. 单词与习惯用语:能应用要求四会的19个单词和7个习惯用语
3. 日常交际用语:(1)复习已学过的问路与应答用语:
a. Exerci me , can/ could you tell me the way to … ?
b. Exerci me , is there a … near here ?
c. Go down this street …
d. Can I take a No. … bus to … ?
(2) 学习其他的问路及应答用语
4.语音:复习、巩固小学学过的元音[ ] 和 [ ]
5.英语应用文:Writing a letter giving directions to a place.
6. 语言结构:Grammar: Preposition
二.教学对象分析
学生已学过一些表示位置的介词和一些简单的问路与应答,对于本单元Asking the way 的学习将会有很大的帮助。

1.认知目标:
(1)能归纳所学过的单词的字母或字母组合的读音规则;能辨别出字母或字母组合的不同
的发音;
(2)能连贯地朗读课文;能认读本单元的单词和习惯用语;
(3)在交际中能初步运用本单元的单词和习惯用语;
(4)复习、巩固已学过的方位介词;
(5)掌握以下句型:How do I get there ?
(6)复习、巩固用be going to 表示将来和打算;
(7)复习、巩固专有名词的概念及写法;
(8)掌握表示位置的介词的用法;

六.教学策略
肚脐眼痒是怎么回事简单的问路和应答用语已学过,本单元只是小学基础上的扩展和深化,所以在教学中可以采取先复习已学内容,宜先易后难,先从看简单的地图开始,然后再用较复杂的地图来进行操练。教学上多采取听说法和情景教学法。

五.教学难点新手化妆步骤
1.in front of 的反义词是 behind
in the front of 与 in front of 的意思不同。
2.next to 与 beside 村民入党申请书意义相近 。
3.in the middle of 中的 middle 是名词,不可漏掉 the 。
4.the front row 前排 ; the back row 后排
六.教学过程
(一)Revision
1. Greet the Ss .
2. Have the Ss review the prepositions learnt: on , near , under , beside , behind by using some objects in the classroom .
3. Display the pictures of Ben’s family members . Put Ben’s picture in front of his father, behind his sister , beside his mother , between his mother and sister and i
n the middle of his family members respectively . Have the Ss review the prepositions : in front of , behind , beside , in the middle of .
(二)Prentation
Put Ben’s picture beside his mother’s picture . Tell the Ss, “We can also say, Ben is next to his mother .” “ next to ” is similar to “beside”. ( Write “next to” on the board )
(三) Practice
(1) Put Ben’s picture in different places. Have the Ss practi saying the places of Ben in chorus .
(2) Have the Ss practice saying the different places of Ben in pairs in their ats .
(3) Have some pairs of Ss come to the board . One puts Ben in different places and asks, “Where’s Ben now ?” The other answers the questions .
(四)Drills
(1) Show the photograph in Part 2. Have the Ss guess the meaning of “coach” ,“row” and “the back row”.
(2) Books open . Ask the Ss to look at the photograph and write down their answers to the questions beside the photograph .
(3) Ask some pairs of the Ss to read out their answers .
