Lesson 2 History Makers
Objectives:

Students will learn about the lives and accomplishments of influential historical figures. Students will practice reading and listening skills through comprehension exercis.
Students will develop critical thinking skills through reflection and discussion.
Materials:
Texts about the Wright brothers, Marie Curie, Mahatma Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela Comprehension questions
Discussion prompts
Procedure:
Warm-up :
Review key vocabulary related to the lesson's topics, such as aviation, radioactivity, civil disobedience, and apartheid.
Ask students if they have heard of any of the historical figures mentioned in the lesson, and what they know about them.
Reading and Comprehension:
Distribute texts about the Wright brothers, Marie Curie, Mahatma Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela to the students.
Instruct students to read the texts and answer the provided comprehension questions.
After students have completed the questions, review the answers as a class and discuss any points that may require further clarification.
Critical Thinking and Discussion:
Divide students into small groups and assign each group one of the historical figures to focus on. Instruct students to discuss and reflect on the following questions:
