15寸多大摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain high reliable evaluation decision for build-up resistance of a hearth roll material by holding a steel block having round cross ction on one pair of test rolls, adjusting and holding composition and temp. of atmospheric gas and rotating the test rolls for the prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:The round columnar shaped steel block 2 is held on one pair of the test rolls 1 in a testing furnace 10 and the atmosphere in the furnace is adjusted and held to the prescribed gas composition and temp. Successively, after rotating the test rolls 1 at the prescribed rotating velocity in the prescribed time, surface of the test roll 1 is obrved and the build-up resistance is evaluated and decided from frequency of development of the build-up. By this method, the build-up resistance of hearth roll material in a heating furnace in the actual u can be evaluated and decided with high reliability.
