摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain simply purified t-butanol, by distilling a crude t-butanol fraction containing diisobytylene as an impurity, distilling further a fraction at the top of a column at lower pressure than at the pressure of the distillation so that diisobutylene is removed as an azeotropic mixture with t-butanol. CONSTITUTION:For example, a crude t-butanol fraction containing diisobutylene as an impurity, which is obtained when t-butanol is synthesized from isobutylene, is distilled at normal pressure or under pressure, to distill a fraction having high t-butanol concentration from the top of a column. Then, the fraction is distilled at lower pressure than pressure at the distillation of the former stage, isobutylene as a by-product is distilled off as an azeotropic mixture with t- butanol from the top of the column, and t-butanol is obtained from the bottom of the column. EFFECT:t-Butanol can be purified efficiently by a simple operation.
