1. Introductory Remarks
Climer Lodge , a hotel located in Miami University have the beautiful facility to accommodate the guests of Miami Uniersity. The passage is a rvice guide to introduce what kinds of facilities and rvices provided by Climer Lodge. It will help the guests have a pleasant staying in Climer Lodge.
II. Related information.
1)Kind of hotels in the United States: hotels,hostels,motels or motor hotels,inns,lodges ore resorts.
●Common concept: Place to stay for a short time
●Hotel: a place where you pay to have a room to sleep in and where you can often eat meals.
●Hostel--also youth hotels,a large hou where people can stay free or cheaply; are often for students walking

2) People work in hotels:

●Room rvices waiters-- take order for food and drinks in people ’ s room , bring the orders and
sometimes take the dirty dishes away.
●Maids-- clean the room and change the sheets .
●  A bell-man or a bell-boy-- carries hotel guests’ bags to their rooms.

1) Lodge: --- n. small hotel.

e.g:
I was arranged to lodge with his sister.
I lodged in my classm ate’s hou during my stay in ShangHai.
2) Facility n. Equipment or rvices.
e.g: Students have no cooking facilities in their dormitory.
3) accommodate: v. provide people with place to live in or stay. 提供住宿
e.g: I can accommodate you if you visit me during the labor holiday.

e.g: In the lounge of the hotel, drinks are usually more expensive than in other places.
9) On/upon departure, plea leave the key in your room.
--On departure means immediately or at once after departure.
Pattern : ―on + n . ‖ …….时
Try :
--Upon arrival, don’t forget to let me know that you are safe and sound.
Translate:
