摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain a monoazo pigment having yellowish red color and uful for paint, by coupling 1-(2',3'-oxynaphthoylamino)-2-ethoxybenzene, converting the product from alpha-form to gamma-form after the completion of the coupling and carrying out the crystal growth under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:1-(2',3'-Oxynaphthoylamino)-2-ethoxybenzene is coupled with a diazonium salt of 1-aminobenzene-4-carboxylic acid amide. The obtained coupling reaction mixture is heat-treated at 70-85 deg.C to convert the product from alpha-form to gamma-form. The filter cake is suspended in an alcoholic organic solvent (e.g. mixture of water and alcohol) and the suspension is heat-treated at 50-85 deg.C to effect the crystal growth of the monoazo pigment of formula.
