This standard has been published in accordance with a decision taken by CEN/TC 249 to adopt, without alteration, International Standard ISO 15106-3 as a European Standard.
The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Kunststoffe (Plastics Standards Committee), Technical Committee Kunststoff-Folien und kunststoffbeschichtete Flächengebilde (Kunstleder) – Allgemeine Eigenschaften .
DIN 53122-1 and DIN 53370 are the standards corresponding to International Standards ISO 2528 and ISO 4593, respectively, referred to in clau 2 of the EN.
Amendments
DIN 53122-2, July 1982 edition, has been superded by the specifications of EN ISO 15106-3, which is identical to ISO 15106-3.Previous edition

International Standard
ISO 15106-3:2003 P lastics – Film and sheeting – Determination of water vapour transmission rate – Part 3: Electrolytic detection nsor method,
which was prepared by ISO/TC 61 ‘Plastics’ of the International Organization for Standardization, has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 ‘Plastics’, the Secretariat of which is held by IBN, as a European Standard.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorment, and conflicting national standards withdrawn, by August 2005 at the latest.
In accordance with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the follow-ing countries are bound to implement this European Standard:
Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slo-vakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
