Each 的用法
一、each作“各自的”，“每个的”解，作形容词用：
1.There are many trees on each side of the river.河流两岸许多树。
2.Each element has some special properties.每种元素都有些特殊性质。
二、作freehug“各自”、“每个最宝贵的话打一成语”讲，作代词用：
1.Each has his advantages.各人都有其优点。
2.He gave each of us a tool.他给我们每人一件工具。
三、作“各自地”讲，作副词用：
1.Give them two books each.(=Give each of them two books.)给他们每个人两本书。
2.The students have ten books each.(=Each of the students has ten books.)这些学生每人有十本书。
3.Different kinds of waves have each the same three characteristics: amplitude,
frequency and length.不同的波（各）都有三个相同的特性：幅度、频率和波长。
四、注意each作同位语的用法：
1.They each put forward a proposal.他们每人提出一条建议。
2.The workers are each of them hard-working.这些工人个个勤奋劳动。
五、each other作“互相”、“彼此”解：
1.We help each other.我们互相帮助。
2.They speak English to each other.他们彼此讲英语。
3.We often compare notes with each other on our work and study.我们经常就工作和学习方面互相交换意见。
六、each和every词义辨异：
Ⅰ.every只能作形容词，只有在与名词连用或构成复合词（如everybody每个人）时，才能作主语或宾语等，而each还可以作代词，直接作主语或宾语（见本文二各例句）。
Ⅱ.every虽指每个，而概括全体，而each只是指“每个”，却以“各……”为主。例如：
1.I know every member of the class.全班的人我都认识。（着重全体，即虽指每个，而概括全体。）
2.I know each member of the class.这个班每个人我都认识。（“个别”意义较重。）
3.We must correct every single error.我们必须改正所有错误。（着重全体。）
4.They each have a tool.他们每人有一件工具。（“个别”意义较重。）
5.Hydrogen and sodium each have one electron in the outer layer. Each has a combining power of one. They each have one electron to lend to anther atom.氢和钠在外层各有一个电子。它们的化合价都是1.它们各有一个电子可借给其他原子。（句中第一、三个each作同位语，第二个each为代词作主语。这三个each消费者保护都是“个别”意义较重。句中第二个one数据透析表是通过of引出的同位语。）
1. 关于 each of：其后接的名词或代词必须是复数，而不能是单数；其后所接名词必须要有冠词、物主代词、指示代词等之类的限定词修饰；反过来，若是名词前有了限定词修饰，则必须要用 each of而不能只用 each:
正：each of the (my, your, the) children
误：each the (my, your, the) children (因为没有of而错)
误：each of children (因 of 后的名词没有限定词而错)
2. 主语中使用 each 时，需注意以下主谓一致和代词一致：
(1) 几个并列的“each＋单数名词”结构用作主语时，谓语通常用单数。如：
Each boy and each girl likes the book. 每个男孩和每个女孩都喜欢这本书。
(2) 在反意问句中，其谓语可以用单数(强调个体 )也可以用复数(强调整体)。如：
Each of the students has en the film, haven’t they [hasn’t he]? 每个学生都看过这部电影了，是吗?
(3) 用于复数主语后作同位语，其后的谓语要用复数。如：
We each have an umbrella. 我们每人都有一把雨伞。
比较：Each of us has an umbrella. ()
(4) 用代词代替 each 时，原则上用单数，但有时为了避免男女人称使用上的不便，也可用复数。如：
Each member of the party must do their best. 队里每个人都要尽他们所能。
3. 不要因受汉语“每个……都……”的影响，将 each 与 all 连用。如：
误：Each student all wants to go.
正：Each student wants to go. 每个学生都想去。
但是 each and all 是固定短语，意为“全部”。如：
Each and all have gone to e the play. 大伙都去看戏了。
4. 用于 each other 与 one another：一般认为 each other 指两者，other another指三者或三者以上。但在实际运用中，这两个短语常可互换。如：
We e each other [one another] every day. 我们彼此每天都见面。

He gave a book to each of his parents.

（3）each作为形容词，修饰单数名词，接单数动词。作为代词，单独使用，接单数动词；放在复数名词和代词后作同位语，接复数动词。each of them后可接单数或复数动词。如：
Each man carries his own bag. （修饰单数名词）各人背自己的包。
