摘要：A device for u in the rapid closure of skin wounds compris a pair of strips (50, 52) of mi-rigid material for positioning one immediately along either edge of a wound to be clod, the strips having respective skin-contacting first portions (51, 53) which in u extend laterally away from the wound in mutually opposite directions and respective raid cond portions (54, 56) which are integral with the respective first portions and which in u abut against one another over the wound. A plurality of pins (58, 60) are located along the lenght of the first portion of each strip and laterally spaced from the respective cond portion of the strip, each pin being slidable relative to the first portion so as to permit the pin to be pushed downwardly into the skin from an initial position wherein the pin does not penetrate the skin. A layer of adhesive (74, 76) is provided on the skin-contacting surface of the first portion of each strip for adherence of the strips to the skin, the adhesive layer extending to cloly adjacent the edges of the wound. Finally, curing means (70) are adapted to engage and hold together in abutting relationship the raid cond portions of the strips and to limit relative vertical movement therebetween.
