1. Introduction
The Chair: Good afternoon, dear delegates, welcome to Peking University National Model United Nations Conference for High School Students 2007.
This committee is the General Asmbly and we have two topic areas this year: T opic A, International Cooperation in Combating and Containing AIDS;
T opic B, Global Warming Issue. I hope we can produce a good resolution after 5 ssion‟s cooperation and let‟s get ready and work hard. Before we get started, I‟d like to introduce our dais members. I‟m, the chair of DISEC, (brief introduction), all documents including working papers, draft resolutions and amendments will directly come to me and any question is welcome to the Dais.

3. Setting of the Agenda

Now we will t up a Speakers‟ List for the formal debate, all delegates wishing to speak plea rai your placards, I‟ll call your countries‟names randomly. China, Russian Federation… Thank you. If there‟re mo re delegates wishing to speak, plea nd a note to the Dai s and we will put your country‟s name at the bottom of the list. Every delegate will have 2 minutes to deliver their speech, when there‟s 30 conds left, I will remind you with a knock on the desk. Now China, you‟re recognized of 2 minutes. Russia, plea get ready.
