In one form which is collapsible for transportation, the system includes two rigid longitudinally extending end elements which define the longitudinal edge boundaries of the formwork, with all the ties between the panels between the end elements being in the form of the flexible tensile ties. In another form, well suited for u in load bearing walls where bulky internal reinforcement configurations may be a specified pre-requisite, the system includes a plurality of vertically extending spaced rigid web elements cured with and extending between the opposing panels to define a ries of vertical voids interconnected via spaced openings provided in the a plurality of rigid web elements, with one or more rigid webs being replaced with a vertically extending plurality of flexible tensile tie elements as described above. This enables incread void space to accept bulky reinforcement, while at the same time potentially reducing weight and cost.
