Hello,everyone!I know you all want to get good grades in English.Do you know the ways of learning English are very important in learning?Do you learn English in a good way?Do you have some good advice on English learning?
设计意图:让学生思考这三个问题并给出自己的回答,从而引入新话题。
环节2 学习3a-3b
1.让学生先浏览教材第3页3a下面的问题,弄懂每个问题的意思。
2.让学生带着问题快速阅读3a的文章,了解文章大意并回答文章前面的3个问题。
3.让学生再次细读文章,勾出其中的生词、重要的短语及句型,然后完成3b中的习题。
4.要点点拨。
(1)Why did Wei Fen find it difficult to learn English?
“find it+形容词+ to do sth.”表示“发现做某事……”。其中it是形式宾语,真正的宾语是后面的不定式。
(2)The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time.
本句包含一个由so...(如此……以至于……)引导的结果状语从句。so修饰形容词或副词原级。例:They walked so fast that I could hardly catch up with them.他们走得如此之快,以至于我几乎赶不上他们。
(3)Although I could not understand everything the characters said,their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning.
本句包含一个although引导的让步状语从句,前后分句表转折意思。注意:在英语中,althou
gh/though不能和but同时用在一个句子中,二者只能择其一使用。

环节3 学习Grammar Focus-4c
1.让学生朗读Grammar Focus中的句子,观察并总结其中的规律。
乒乓球长胶2.让学生先浏览4a中的问题和答案,然后采用“对话式交流”与不同学生对话,写给自己的情书核对本题答案。
3.让学生利用4b中表格内的科目名词,结合自己的实际情况用“do sth.by doing”结构造句。
4.让学生在4c的表格中勾出自己学英语的方法,然后采访自己的同桌,并做记录。
5.让学生根据完成的表格信息,模仿对话,就各自的实际情况进行问答。
6.要点点拨。
I learn by studying with a group.
“by+v.ing”结构意为“通过做……”,它用于表示做某事的方法。此结构常用来回答How ?或How can I...?这类句型。by在此作介词,其后跟动词时,动词要用动名词形式。
7.学以致用。(根据汉语意思完成句子,一空一词)
(1)我乘地铁去上班。
I go to work __by__ __taking__ a subway.
(2)我通过在课堂上认真听老师讲课来学习英语。
I learn English by __listening__ to the teacher carefully in class.
(3)他通过读报纸了解信息。

设计意图:通过观察,让学生发现并总结出“do sth.by doing sth.”结构,可以充分发挥学生的主观能动性,培养自主学习的能力;然后通过4a和4b的练习,巩固该结构的用法;最后通过采访活动,培养学生运用目标语言进行交际的能力。
