1、This is not the world we know. This world is controlled by computers. Men and women can be en, but they are following the orders given to them by machines. The machines were designed by mad scientists, but at some point even the mad scientists were taken over by their super-inventions.
Does this sound familiar? You have probably read something like it in magazines or books, or en it in a film. Why is it so popular? One of the reasons is that it reflects the fears of many people; fear of the unknown fear of what is not understood or, at least, fear of something that is not completely understood.
The fact is that every day it ems that computers take control of another area of our lives. Some factory jobs are now done by robots and the robots are controlled by computers. Our bank accounts are managed by computers. At the airport, our tickets are sold by a compute
r. Certainly, many of the operations are made more efficient by computers, but our admiration is sometimes mixed with unsafe feelings. And this lack of safety is caud by the fact that we do not know how computers do the things, and we really don't know what they might do next.
But we can find out how computers work, and once we understand them, we can u computers instead of worrying about being ud by them. Today, there is a new generation of computer wizards who know exactly how computers get things done. The young men and women, usually university students, are happy to sit for hours, sometimes for days, designing programs, not eating, not sleeping, but discovering what can be done by the wonderful slaves which they have learned to control. The computer wizards have learned to u the computer and arch for new tasks for their machines.

2、 When you think of the cinema, the phra "watching a movie" probably comes to mind, and, in fact, moviemakers work very hard to make their films interesting visually. But movies also contain stories, dialogues, music and sound effects - things that people don't need to e in order to enjoy.
Movie reviewer Marty Klein has created a website to help visually impaired people choo movies that they can follow themlves. Klein gives movies a rating from 1 to 10.
A movie receives a high rating if there are only a few main characters who voices are easy to recognize. Klein also likes an interesting story without too many changes in time and place. A large amount of dialogues between the characters is better than long silences or noisy action scenes.
Of cour, visually impaired people can enjoy many films when a friend explains the parts that can only be en. But that means that blind people cannot go to the movies independently. To solve the problems, some movie theaters have begun to offer recorded audio descriptions of the movements, scenery, and special effects that other audience members can e on the screen. Blind moviegoers receive a wireless headt to wear during the movie. This allows them to listen to the narration while still hearing a movie's music and other sounds that surround them in the theater.
Another blind movie reviewer, Jay Forry, writes movie reviews that are published on his website. He also writes for newspapers and is a guest on radio shows. Forry gives movies one of five ratings, including, "So good, blind people will like it" and "I'm glad I cou
ldn't e it." Forry became a writer after going blind at the age of 20 and he decided to go to college. His first articles appeared in the college newspaper, and Forry's writing skills and n of humor are what keep people reading his reviews or listening to them on the radio. After "watching" The Sixth Sen, Forry commented that he thought the movie was excellent, but that he envied the boy who was the main character: "He had six ns, and I only have four."
