OPTOOL UD509–Fluoro antifouling coating-
OPTOOL UD509 is a fluoropolymer containing silyl groups that make a strong bond with substrate surfaces, allowing the OPTOOL to form a nanoscale antifouling coating.

■Characteristics

■Surface characteristics
Substrate: Gorilla Glass (Chemically strengthened glass) Evaluation condition
1. Water and Oil Repellency
・Contact angle: 2ul droplets were ud for contact angle measurement Array・Sliding angle: 50ul water and 20ul oil drops were ud for sliding angle
measurement
2. Optical Properties
・Total light transmittance and Haze were measured at 25℃.
3. Antifouling Properties
・30 dyne pen: Draw a line with 30 dyne pen on the test panel , then check the
repellency of ink.
・Permanent marker: Draw a line with black marker (Teranishi Chemical
Industries) on the test panel, then check the repellency of ink. After 3
minutes, wipe it off with a tissue and check its ea of removal.
・Fingerprint: Put one's fingerprint on the test panel and wipe off with a tissue,
then check the removal state.
4. Slippery
・Kinetic coefficient of friction test
Material : OA paper (20×20mm)
Load : 1.69 N (200gf)
Test speed : 200 mm/min
5. Abrasion Resistance
・Steel wool abrasion
Abrasion material: Steel wool #0000 (10mm×10mm)

・Artificial sweat:
Acidic sweat is pH 5.0, and alkaline sweat is pH 8.0.
Water contact angle after subjecting to artificial sweat for 72 hours at 45℃.
・Solvent: water contact angle after sample immersion in Acetone and
Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for 72 hours at 25℃.

Water contact angle after 72 hours continuous exposure to cosmetics at 45℃.
7. Environmental Resistance

OPTOOL UD509 can be applied to the substrate with either a dry process, such as Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), or a wet process, such as spray coating.

■Handling instructions
・Read SDS before using.
・Wear safety glass when using the chemical and avoid contact with
skin and eyes. In ca of eye contact, flush with a large amount of water
and consult a physician.
・U rubber gloves and proper personal protection equipment when
handling. In ca of contact with skin, wash affected area with soap and
water. Always wash hands thoroughly after handling.
・Do not breathe in vapor or spray. U only in well-ventilated area.
