Interviewer 1: Good morning, first, tell me about yourlf.滕红
Candidate: I’m Lydia. I’ve just graduated from Jilin HuaQiao Foreign Language Institute with a degree in English and Japane. Although I am a fresh college graduate, I have formal work experience. During the holidays, I worked as a part-time teacher in veral elementary schools and junior high schools. Is there any particular information you’d like me to discuss?
Interviewer2: What are your hobbies?
江苏英语Candidate: In my spare time, I like to read novels. I think reading could enlarge my knowledge. In addition to reading, I also like to play PC games. Besides the, I show my interest in sports, especially in running.
Interviewer3: Why do you like to play PC games? Do you think you can benefit from it?
Candidate: When I was young, I liked to play all kinds of games. A lot of grownups think playing PC games hinders the students from learning. But I thing it could motivate me to u my head to learn something. It makes my head nsible and smart.
Interviewer1: You don’t em to have done as well academically in college as you did in high school. Why is that?
Candidate: To be honest ,when I was in nior high school , I paid all my attention t
o my study, but when I entered the college, I think I should participate in more activities , school organizations and also part-time jobs to enlarge my horizons and know more people. And I am always trying my best to balance my study and extracurricular activities. I think I should combine professional knowledge with practical experience.

Intertviewer1: What do you think a university should pass on to her students?
Candidate: A good university must give students both professional skills and a broad range of knowledge beyond a narrow specific area from which they will benefit all their life.
Interviewer1: Does participating in team sports help in the development of one’s character while in college?
Candidate: Yes, of cour. Participating in team sports has been viewed as contributing in positive manner to the character development of college students.
Your character is the sum of all the qualities that make you who you are. It’s your values, your thoughts, your words, and your actions. In other words, it’s you, like it or not, you will often be judged by your character.

Interviewer3: How do you think a friend or professor who knows you well would describe you?

Interviewer2: What are your strengths and weakness?
Candidate: My strengths lie in my ability to develop and maintain relationships and how to communicate with different people. I have strong n of responsibility and perverance. My perfect English skills qualify me for this position. About my weakness, I think it should be lack of experience, but if hard work and enthusiasm
counts for something, then I hope that won’t be a weakness for long. And I think sometimes I should be more patient with people and things.
Interviewer1: How do you get people to do things they don’t like to do?
Candidate: One thing itlf—good or bad work means no difference. When one person says he/she doesn’t like to do the things, it only means that he/she doesn’t like the way to do things. First, I will tell him or her the importance and reasons why we should do the things. Then I’ll let them start with their own ways of working or studying.
Interviewer2: If you were an interviewer, what do you think the three most important criteria would be for hiring someone for this position?
Candidate: In my opinion, the three most important criteria are responsibility, the ability to learn and communicate and a perfect mastery of English skills which is the key quality. To be a teacher, responsibility plays a very important role. The abili
ty to learn and communicate reflects whether a person can adjust himlf to the new environment and have great interpersonal skills to deal with the relationship among the students. Interviewer3: What do you expect to accomplish here?
Candidate: On one hand, now that I choo to be an English teacher here, I’ll try my best to teach every student what I have learned. On the other hand, I’m still a fresh college graduate with a little work experience, so I will learn from the veteran teachers, and work for the students’ future.
