柯成兴教授(Prof Danny Quah)是伦敦政治经济学院国际事
务、外交与重大策略研究中心的高级研究员,伦敦政治经济学院-
北京大学暑期学校的董事会主席。2009年至2011年,柯教授曾任
马来西亚国家经济咨询理事会成员。2006至2009年,他首任伦敦
政治经济学院经济系主任。柯教授毕业于普林斯顿和哈佛大学,在
加入伦敦政治经济学院之前他曾是麻省理工学院的助理教授。他分
别在2010年和2011年担任清华大学经济与管理学院以及新加坡南
洋理工大学的访问教授。柯教授同时也是新加坡国立大学经济系的
陈振传访问教授。

茴拉西坦胶囊The ri of China has prompted Western obrvers to ask how the West can best respond to such a challenge.  But if the world’s economic center of gravity continues to shift East, the right question should not be what is good for the West but instead what is good for the world.  What evidence bears out the great shift east in the global economy?  What barriers might disrupt further such displacement?  Where does the good of the world lie? Danny Quah is Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Senior Fellow at LSE IDEAS, and Chair of the LSE-PKU Summer School Board.  Quah rved on M
胆囊结石最佳治疗方法alaysia's National Economic Advisory Council 2009-2011; he was the first Head of Department for Economics at LSE 2006-2009.  Quah holds degrees from Princeton and Harvard, and was Assistant Professor of Economics at the Massachutts Institute of Technology before joining the LSE.  In 2010 he was Visiting Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University; in 2011, at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University.  Quah is also Tan Chin Tuan Visiting Professor in the Economics Department at the National University of Singapore.
In June 2011, Quah gave the inaugural LSE Big Questions Lecture “East beats West?”.  He was panellist on Sustaining Asia's Competitiveness at the Tianjin 2010 World Economic Forum Summer Davos Annual Meeting of the New Champions.  In April 2011, Quah gave the Eighth SER Distinguished Public Lecture on “The Shifting Global Balance of Power” in Singapore; in January 2011, he delivered a lecture on the tensions of international power restructuring in a shifting global economy, as part of the Ralph Miliband Series on the Restructuring of World Power.  Early in 2009 he delivered the Goh Keng Swee Lecture in Singapore on China's economic growth, and the World Economy Asia lecture (“Will Asia save the world?”) in Kuala Lumpur.  In May 2009, together with Lord Charles Powell and Sir David Tang, he oppod Gurcharan Das, Deepak Lal, and Mark Tully, in debating the motion “The future belongs to India, not China” at the Royal Geographical Society in London.  Some of Quah's writings have been translated into 18 languages.

Quah has recently spoken on the shifting global economy at the Foreign Correspondents of China Club in Beijing, Khazanah Megatrends Forum in KL, the Hay Literary Festival, the British Embassy in Beijing, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, Xinhua News Agency in Beijing, and the Shanghai Futures Exchange, and in different forums in Bali, Abu Dhabi, Kazakhstan, and Mauritius.  Quah has consulted for among others the World Bank, the Bank of England, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.  He is a Member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Economic Imbalances.
Prof Quah's rearch is now on the global economy, economic growth and development, income inequality, international economic relations, economic geography, and new technologies.  He is investigating in particular the eastwards drift of global economic activity, and the implications of such on-going shift.  He has also worked in time ries econometrics, inflation, and business cycles.  At the LSE he ud to lecture in the largest cour (Introductory Economics) taught in the School.  Quah now teaches macroeconomics and econometrics in LSE's MSc programme, and Introductory Macroeconomics as well as Economics and Public Policy for LSE's BSc programme.  He lectures on The Global Financial Crisis for LSE100 and on The Global Economy for the LSE-PKU Summer School in Beijing, and on both for LSE's MSc in Strategy and Diplomacy and LSE's Executive Summer School, in London.
