3Dimensions and designation
Nut dimensions shall be as given in figure 1 and table 1.
Design details left unspecified shall be lected as appropriate.

Nuts of sizes M6 to M36 shall be made of steel of property class 10 (recommended) or 8 as specified in DIN EN 20898-2.
Nuts of sizes M42 and M48 shall have a hardness of (240 + 62) HV 30 (recommended) or (188 + 114) HV 30.

5Design
Hexagon nuts with collar shall be manufactured in product grade A as in DIN EN ISO 4759-1.
6Marking
Hexagon nuts with collar shall be permanently and legibly marked with the DIN number and the manufacturer’s name or symbol.
Where the marking is not applied to the nut itlf, the smallest, commercially available package shall be marked.
7Asmbly
Hexagon nuts with collar may be asmbled with bolts as shown in figure 2.
