1. Open the crankca door at the relevant cylinder .
打开相应缸的曲拐箱道门.
2. Turn the crankthrow concerned to BDC .
把有关的曲柄臂盘到下止点.
3. Measure the clearance in the crosshead bearing by inrting a feeler gauge
Between the bearing cap and the crosshead journal at the top of the
upper bearing shell .See Data .

4. The difference between the actual clearance measurement and the
measurement recorded in the Adjustment Sheet (or the clearance noted for
a new bearing installed later) must not exceed 0.05mm .If so ,the crosshead bearing must be disasmbled for inspection .See Procedure 904-1.2 .
实际测得间隙的尺寸与调整垫片(或新轴承安装后的间隙)的尺寸之间的偏差不能大于0.05mm .
如果大于0.05mm,这个十字头轴承必须解体检查.
5. When the bearing has been disasmbled ,perform a visual inspection of the
bearing running surface .Sound areas of the over-layer will appear grey and soft .In damaged areas ,where the over-layer has been worn down or wiped off ,the underlying bonding layer will be expod .The bonding layer will appear bright and

Crosshead Bearing Dismantling
十字头轴承分解
This procedure has been divided into two dismantling situations ,as follows :
怎样祛皱程序分成两个分解情况,如下,
·with piston mounted
安有活塞的
·with piston removed
活塞被拿走了的
With piston mounted ;
安有活塞的
1. Turn the crankshaft down far enough to give access to the nuts
and screws on the piston rod .
向下盘曲轴足够远以至能给活塞杆的螺栓,螺母留有空间.
2. Mount two eye bolts in the top of the crankca and suspend two
tackles in the athwartship direction .
在曲轴箱顶部安两个挂环螺丝并在横过船的方向挂两个葫芦.
3. Loon and remove the four screws which tighten the telescopic pipe
to the bend .
松开并拿走伸拉管底部的四个螺丝
Suspend the telescopic pipe from the stuffing box using the wing
nut (tool) .
用蝶型螺母(工具)将拉管吊在扫气箱顶部.

When a piston is dismantled ,never turn the engine without first dismantling the telescopic pipe from the crosshead . 当分解活塞时,如果拉管没从十字头上卸下来.不要盘车. |

4. Remove the locking wire from the screws ,loon and remove the
screws from the piston rod foot .
