摘要：PURPOSE:To maintain mechanical strength and wear resistance and to prevent generation of cracks by shrinkage, by using a silica alumina refractory material, binder and alumina cement and compounding expandable aggregate and low water-absorptivity lightweight material therewith. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is prepd. by compounding D) 5-20wt.%, more preferably 15-20% expandable aggregate such as silica sand and siliceous stone (preferably 100-1000mum grain size) and E) 1-10%, more preferably 15-20% low water-absorptivity lightweight material, for example, pearlite and 'SHIRASU' (volcanic glass) balloon (0.2-0.5 average bulk sp. gr., 50-500mum grain size distribution) with the compsn. consisting of A) 45-80wt.% and more preferably 55-70%, by the weight of the total compsn., silica alumina refractory material, for example, lightweight, low-porosity and low-water absorptivity chamotte and agalmatolite refractories, B) <=10%, more preferably 2-8% binder, for example, refractory clay,
bentonite, etc., and C) 15-35%, more preferably 20-30% alumina cement.
