1.OBJECT AND FIELD OF APPLICATION
This document specifies:
•the mechanical environmental conditions in which electrical and electronic equipment shall operate on the vehicle,
•test methods and procedures, the results required, for ensuring the strength of this equipment in its environment.
This document must be the basis for the specification,in the cahier des charges,of equipment and devices,of environmental conditions.
The compiler of a cahier des charges must refer to it by lecting the tests to be carried out (designated by their paragraph number),specifying the required level of sanction and,if need be,the offt operating modes.
Note:This document has been drawn up by authorid reprentatives of the various relevant Management.
2.EXPRESSION ON DOCUMENTS
Application of the requirements of this cahier des charges must be indicated on documents in the following form:CDC B217120.
Furthermore, drawings must carry the following details:招标代理公司简介
A–FUNCTIONAL DRAWING
Provisions relating to regulation and certification.
Particular specifications not specified in this cahier des charges.
B–SUPPLIER’S DRAWING
Particular specifications due to the supplier’s request and approved by the relevant departments.
3.GENERAL
The operating characteristics are specified in the cahier des charges specific to the device or the equipment.
3.1.DEGREE OF SEVERITY AND TYPES OF OPERATION
From the functional analysis and the failure mode analysis for the device or equipment,a list of the worst cas, which are graded in levels of verity for test on vehicles and in types of operation for bench tests,is deduced.
3.1.2.TYPES OF OPERATION
The following table specifies the types of operation lected for bench tests.
Type Definition
A The device operates within the tolerances of the specific cahier des charges

B The device operates within extended tolerances(*)or to a down graded level of operation(*).
C The device no longer provides all the functions(*),but becomes functional again without intervention.
D The device no longer provides all the functions(*),but becomes functional again after a simple manual intervention.
(*)To be specified in the specific cahier des charges.
Requirement:Unless otherwi specified in the specific cahier des charges, the operation of the
device must be of type A after each test.
3.1.2.DEGREE OF SEVERITY
The following table specifies the degree of verity lected for tests on vehicles.
Levels Definition
0Nominal operation
1A small inconvenience for the customer is tolerated(*)
信誓旦旦的意思2A considerable inconvenience for the customer is tolerated(*).
3The destruction of the equipment is tolerated but the safety of operation of the vehicle must not be affected.
(*)To be specified in the specific cahier des charges
Requirements:For levels1and2,the operation of the equipment must be level0after each test.
3.2.GENERAL TEST CONDITIONS
Unless otherwi specified in the cahier des charges, the tests are carried out in the following conditions:
•Temperature:23°C+5°C.
•Nominal supply voltage,Un:
•13,5V+0,1V for components operating with the engine running.
•12V+0,1V for components operating with the engine stopped.
The voltage is supplied through a stabilid supply of internal resistance less than0,01Ωand must no
t include a superimpod ripple voltage above0,3V peak to peak.
•Atmospheric pressure:860hPa to1060hPa.
•Relative hygrometry:25%to75%.
•Before any test, the equipment must operate for15minutes in normal conditions of u,if running-in is required.(electro-mechanical equipment)
•The equipment is,in general, tested on its support,as fitted to the vehicle.
For each test carried out with the equipment in operation, the cahier des charges specific to the equipment must specify which method(s)of operation has/have been adopted.
4.MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS
When in u,the equipment:
•is subjected to fitting and maintenance operations and may be subjected to shocks due to usual handling operations,
•is expod to vibratory stress due to the vehicle or to the condition of the road network.
4.1.CONNECTING COMPONENTS
4.1.1.CONNECTOR BLADES
The blades shall be in conformity with the technical standard B125210.In order to meet technical requirements(for example low currents),they may be gilded(to be specified in the specific cahier des charges).
4.1.2.CONNECTOR
4.1.2.1.CONNECTOR INTEGRAL WITH THE DEVICE
Inrtion or extraction loads on the blades shall not have a knock-on effect on the device internal circuits.
If necessary(to be specified on the specific cahier des charges),in addition to the connector resistance tests in norme B217050,a tensile load is applied to the wiring harness exiting the specified and connected connector in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the blades where the cond
uctors start. The jaws of the tensile test machine must travel at a constant speed between25and50mm/minute until the value of the effort specified on the cahier des charges(to be specified)has been reached. Requirement:During and after the test, there shall be no uncoupling of the connector or mechanical or electrical damage.
4.1.2.2.OFFSET CONNECTOR(OUTPUT THROUGH CONDUCTORS)
The blades shall be incorporated into a connector conforming to the specifications in norme B217050.
4.1.2.2.1.TENSILE STRENGTH OF CONDUCTORS
The output through conductors shall be subjected to an identical strength test as per norme B217050 relating to the strength of blades in connectors:the jaws of the tensile test machine must travel at a constant speed between25and50mm/min until the value of100N has been reached.
Requirement:During and after the test,no mechanical damage is allowed.
4.1.2.2.2.STRENGTH OF CONDUCTORS TO VIBRATION
Vibration simulation to which a cable may be subjected and generated by the vehicle.
Test carried out according to the asmbly below for150hours.
The wire is displaced in its centre from the vertical position by
dimension x so as to obtain an angleαof6,3°.
An electric motor running at90r/min describes, with point A,a circle in a plane perpendicular to the connector/equipment axis.
Requirements:After the test,no cut or break of the wire is allowed.
4.2FIXINGS
The fixings on the device shall be able to withstand loads applied to the latter,in particular the
connector inrtion and extraction loads.
To the fixed device,a force10times its weight is applied with a minimum of20daN,in both the
directions of the3main axes for parts directly accessible and10daN for tho requiring the
disasmbly of another part.

Requirement:After the test, appearance defects are tolerated but no alteration of the technical
characteristics is allowed(no permanent distortion,no mechanical or electrical
deterioration).
4.3.RESISTANCE TO IMPACT
惟心
The devices shall be subjected to the following tests:
4.3.1.FALLING BALL
A steel ball of25,4mm diameter(≈67grams)is dropped from a height of700mm onto the device.It
must be guided vertically by a tube with an internal diameter of sufficient dimensions in order to avoid
any deceleration during the drop.Impacts are carried out on the components most fragile parts. Requirements:After the test, the operation must be of type A(e§3.1.1.)but if the device is no longer operational,it must necessarily show appearance defects(splinter,cracks,etc.).
4.3.2.PENDULUM
This test is designed for devices with output wires. It may be ud for others(device connected to electrical wiring harness before being fitted to the vehicle).
The device, suspended by its connections at the
end of a flexible wire500mm long,is relead
from an angle of60°onto a steel block.
Impacts are carried out on the components
most fragile parts.
Requirements:Identical to§4.3.1.
4.3.3.FREE FALL
The device is subjected to a free fall of one metre onto a cement block along its3main axes in both directions.
Requirements:Identical to§4.3.1.
4.4RESISTANCE TO VIBRATIONS
According to their installation on the vehicle, the device shall be subjected to the following tests.
For vibrations, the frequency sweep is carried out over the whole specified range(for example from20 Hz to2500Hz then from2500Hz to20Hz),the frequency speed of variation is one octave per minute. The acceleration values are amplitudes. The are applied to the device support(rvo-control applied to the support).
The tests in§4.4.1,4.4.2,4.4.4shall be carried out during temperature cycles in accordance with the following graph.
