Log In & Navigation
Navision-Login
Start > All Programs > Microsoft Dynamics NAV > CSIDE Client (the name may be different depends on the version of NAV you are using)
Interface
Alt-F1 to show/hide menu
Title bar – shows the name of the company currently working on
Toolbar – shows the icons of most frequently ud functions.
Status Bar – shows the name and contents of active field, work date, ur ID and the current data entry mode (INS or OVR). FILTER will be displayed if a filter has been applied.
Navigation
-Navigating and Function Keys, List, Assist Buttons, Drill-down, Drop-down -Card – tab / buttons
-Field/Table Filter, Show All -Hide/Show Column -Search Function, Sorting, Search and Edit Mode -Cut & Paste to Excel
Function Keys
F2 – Go to end of field. If value of field is highlighted (up and down arrows on field values will highlight it). Press F2 to put cursor at beginning of field. F2 twice –move to end of field. Edit Mode: value of field is highlighted, type over it To abort the change, press ESC.
Terminologies
List – show all records in row form. Often appear as lection window.
Card – show screenful of information of a particular record. Often en in master files.
