The humanities are a group of academic disciplines that study the human conditi on, using methods that are primarily analytical, critical, or speculative. Therefore, the y are distinguished from the approaches of natural sciences. The humanities, called so cial sciences, include history, anthropology, communication studies, cultural studies, l aw, linguistics, etc.
