本话题是第六单元的第三个话题，以问路和指路为主，贯穿交通规则、交通标志、交通设施等常识性知识，让学生掌握“问路”的功能用语，学会遵守交通法规和其他规则，增强交通安全意识，使学生懂得珍爱生命，同时也向他们渗透了乐于助人、协助别人也快乐自己的德育思想。主要语法和句型有“Excu me, how can I ?”，“Excu me, Which is the way to…?”，“Excu me, could you tell me the way to …?”，“Excu me, 金工实习报告where is …?”，“Go along Xinhua Street and turn right at the first crossing.”，“It’s about 15 kilometers away from here.”，“Go along this road until you get to…”等。该部分还学习了祈使句，如“Be careful.”，“Don’t play on the street.”等。

3)语法：能准确使用表示方位的介词及介词短语。如along，across，on the corner of, across from, between…and…等；能够准确使用祈使句的肯定和否定形式。
4)功能：能够使用介词、介词短语实行问路和指路，能够谈论交通标志、交通规则、交通设施、询问距离等。

二、教学步骤：
Step1 Greeting & Revision
1.Test before class： Take a dictation(Some words and phras in Topic2)
2.Revi the prepositions such as in, on, behind, under, near, next to, in front of, in the front of, in the center of, on the left/right of, at the back of.
3.Look at the pictures in 2a. Learn new prepositions： across from, between ... , on the corner of. Then complete the ntences in 2a.
Step2 Prentation
1. Look at the pictures in 1a. Talk and learn the new words.
(1)Suppo you are new in a city. You are missing. How can you ask the way?
