Analysis
Abstract: This paper prents the main cau of Tess’s tragedy. Tess, a daughter of a poor villager who discovers that he is the descendent of an ancient family D’Urbervilles is persuaded by her parents to claim kindred with a more prosperous D’Urbervilles and is duced by the master, Alec. This starts her tragedy. This paper tell us that Tess is the victim of the bourgeois society and capitalist invasion into the English peasantry by analyzing the current social background, Tess’s family background and her own character system.
