在我们如水的生活中，间或被一些称为“节日”的特定的时段激起涟漪。或欢腾或静默或祈愿或怀思······在这样一些如雀跃的音符的时光里，你我不趋然地走近它又走过它，特定的心情因它来了而动荡，它走了又复平静，一年一年，如此。不得不承认节日作为一种特殊的符号打烙在人们的生活中，承载着不可细数的情感。
在字典中这样描述：“节日是传统的庆祝或祭祀的日子，如春节、清明节等，或是纪念日，如五一国际劳动节”。传统节日是民族性的，特定的人们在特定的时段做特定的事情表达特定的心情，春节，中秋，泼水节，重阳节······然而，存在的现象是节日依旧在过，可节日存在的时代在变，于是过的方式也有些微变化，有时很难定论这些变化是好还是坏。我切身体验到的我成长历程中的一个重要节日——彝族的火把节已在我的记忆里庆过很多次，此刻，谨述我对于火把节的怀想。

火把节是彝族、白族、纳西族、基诺族、拉祜族等火把节民族古老而重要的传统节日，有着深厚的民俗文化内涵，蜚声海内外，称为“东方狂欢节”。不同民族举行火把节的时间不同，而以我的家乡云南省南涧彝族自治县来说，彝族同胞们是在农历六月二十四举行庆祝活动的。
彝族同胞是这样一群人，他们豪放，他们热情，他们不拘小节，他们勤劳质朴，他们勇敢积极，尤其，他们能歌善舞。在一年一度的火把节来临时，便是这样一群人狂欢之际。在盛大的庆祝场面中，你不再是你自己，而变成一颗颗火热沸腾燃烧的心链的一环，情会不自禁的。可是火把节何以让人们如此期待，人们又是如何狂欢的呢？
彝族同胞为过火把节是“祭火”之意，简言则是古老的火崇拜，人们在这一天祈愿谷穗如火把般粗壮，以祭火趋家中田间鬼邪，以求安顺、平安祥和。记忆中人们会拿起松木制火把到村寨田间走动，口中欢乐地叫喊，同时间或往火把上撒松香末。从大人们口中得知这是在照妖祈年，除岁求吉。人们会在各村寨较空旷的地方燃起篝火，吃烤肉，男女老少围成一圈唱歌跳舞，人们的彝族服饰、脸盘在火光映照下热烈而闪亮。期间也会有男女青年芳心动荡，彻夜欢腾，各村各寨闪动火光，传响欢歌。而在县城街道，形式相似，但要更加隆重得多。
然而十多年目睹，经历了十多次有记忆的火把节，今天再看，节日依旧，可是一年年，一岁岁，场面和内心感受不复往昔。去年农历六月二十四，我也是节日中人。各村寨依然燃篝火，只是火光映照下不再闪动一色齐的民族服饰；歌舞依然呈现，只是人们放腔不再那么随性自然，肢体更加僵硬；拿着火把往田间地头转悠的人越来越低调，不再高喊，匆匆一瞥田地庄稼。而县城街道则在路两旁或在公路左右车道中间燃起整齐的一排排火把，在各个广场聚篝火燃放色彩斑斓的烟花，高分贝的音响中混杂着人声的喧哗，拥挤的人潮中落脚会不小心触碰小贩地摊。听说广场上的设备、布景是政府出了力由文化馆策划的。场面确实壮观，可对我而言，久留几分钟实在目眩，于是偷偷逃离，不去看刻意排练的歌舞，不去挤别人，当然，也不被挤。
