happen 为常用词。作“发生、碰巧”解。用于表明偶然发生的，没有预料到的事情。

take place 为稍正式用语。一般指非偶然性事件的“发生”，即这种事件的发生一定有某种原因或事先的安排。除“发生”外，常翻译为手机总是闪退“进行、举行、开展青蛙跳跳跳”。
