The gas monitor also compris a control system controlling light sources, digitising analogue signals as well as determining characteristics of the gas. The gas monitor further compris internal alignment means for fine alignment. The gas monitor can compri two or more light sources () targeting gas with absorption lines in two or more wavelength ranges. The gas monitor can in certain embodiments compri one or more gas cells () that can be inrted in an optical path to verify the performance of the instrument.
