What makes someone more interesting than another person? That’s not always an easy question to answer. There are a lot of subjective viewpoints that are hard to measure especially when it comes to personality traits.
是什么让一部分人比其他人更有趣的呢？这个问题总是不太好回答。尤其是涉及个性特征时，许多主观看法很难对此做出评判。
On average, I’d say that less than half the people I’ve met in my life have been interesting. It’s not that they are bad people; there is just nothing about them that makes them stand out in any way. But this makes me wonder what really makes someone interesting. Are there common traits that interesting people share?
穷奇图片通常，我想说的是，我见过的人里，只有少半数称得上是有趣的人。并不是说他们是坏人；只是说他们没有任何让自己出众的特质。这让我很好奇，到底是什么让一个人有趣呢？有趣的人有没有共同的特质呢？

Overall I think interesting people share general personality traits rather than specific ones. I can say this becau the opposite of the traits are all things shared by uninteresting people. But I don’t want to say that you need all of the characteristics to be interesting. Only one or two are needed. However, having more of the would help in being interesting. While having none of the probably means you’re rather forgettable.

总的来说，我认为有趣的人除了自身的独特之处，还有一些共同的个性特征。我之所以这样说，是因为这些共同特征的对立面却是无趣之人全都具备的。但并不是指，你需要具备所有的特征才能成为有趣的人，仅需其中一二即可。不过，这些特征具备得越多，当然有助于成为有趣的人。全都不具备的人就可能意味着很容易被人遗忘。

When it comes right down to it, what you do matters. No one remembers the person who always takes the safe, easy route. For example, do you spend every day in a cubicle filling out uless forms becau the job is safe and cure or are you chasing your dream?

It isn’t as if someone who works in a cubicle is automatically uninteresting. They still can do interesting things in their free time. But if their free time is spent mostly playing video games or watching movies, they’re unlikely to get the experiences that make them memorable.
并不是说在小隔间里工作的人一定是无趣的人。这些人在业余时间同样可以做有趣的事。但如果把业余时间都花在玩电子游戏或看电影上，他们就不容易获得让他人对自己难忘的经历。
History is full of examples of people who play it too safely. They live their lives without risking for something better. Of cour, the aren’t the people that you usually hear about. The ones you normally hear about are the ones that did or said something no one el did or accomplished something despite all the odds. Doing interesting things always includes an element of risk.
历史上有许多人都过着平静的生活，他们从不为争取更好的结果冒险。当然，这些一定不是你经常听说的人。一般听说的，是那些做了其他人都做不到或没有完成的事、说了他人没有说过的话的人。做有趣的事总会有冒险元素在里面。
Everyone who starts a business, gets their PhD, becomes a writer or other similar things all take on risk to do it. Even hobbies such as traveling, mountaineering or white water rafting include risk. But the are the type of people I remember, not the ones who stay at home watching television every night.
每一位自主创业者、博士、作家以及其他取得类似成就的人，都为自己的事业承担了风险。甚至某些兴趣爱好都有危险，例如旅游、登山以及白水漂流等。我能记住的类型就是有过这些经历的人，而不是每天晚上在家看电视的人。

I like to think of curiosity as a catalyst to risk-taking. If you’re curious what life is like in Spain, you’re more likely to travel there. Curiosity is what gets you questioning the world and your place in it. This changes you from a passive bystander in the world to being more active.
我认为好奇心是冒险的动力。如果你对西班牙生活很好奇，很可能会到那儿旅行。好奇心是你对这个世界怀有疑问的开始，决定你在其中的位置。它让你从世界上一个被动的旁观者变成了更加主动的参与者。

Also, it’s the key component to imagination. Making your mind wander through endless possibilities for you and where you can take your life. Some of the best ideas happen when you just let your imagination run wild.

And a little bit can go a long way. All it takes is for you to let loo your curiosity and wonder why everything is the way it is. Let out any questions you have and e what answers you come up with.

3. Opinionated

Everyone has opinions. The thing that ts interesting people apart from other people is that their opinions are unique and show a different point of view from other people. Forming your own opinion is important. If you’re just repeating what other people are saying then you’re not offering anything new or interesting.
每个人都有自己的见解。有趣的人与其他人的区别就在于，前者有独到的见解，看问题的角度不同于常人。因此，形成自己的独到见解至关重要。如果只是重复他人的话，你的见解就没有新意，也不会让人感兴趣。
The same goes for people who are afraid to say their opinions. Opinions are naturally divisive since others are free to form their own perhaps differing views. And some people em to voluntarily withhold sharing their opinion unless it is very popularly held since they could cau conflict. Doing this just makes you boring and predictable.
