This document describes the general procedure to be ud for standard conditioning of organic material test specimens.
The conditioning of the materials at standard tem-perature and humidity conditions will aid in obtai
ning repeatable and comparable test results.
Note:Nothing in this test method superdes appli-cable laws and regulations unless a specific exemp-tion has been obtained.
Note:In the event of a conflict between the Eng-lish and the domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.

5.1Summary of Test Method.Organic material test specimens are maintained in an environment at a specified temperature and relative humidity for a spe-cific period to achieve a state of equilibrium immedi-ately prior to conducting certain tests. This will aid in obtaining test results that are repeatable and compa-rable.
公里的英文5.2Test Sample Preparation.
5.2.1Pre-dry materials with hygroscopic characteris-tics,such as polyamides, polyurethanes, wool, cotton or fiberboard,in an oven until an approximately con-stant weight is achieved.
5.2.2All other materials do not require pre-drying.5.3Test Procedure.
5.3.1Condition organic material test specimens for at least 24hours in an environment having a tempera-ture of (+22±3) C and a relative humidity as spec-ified by the appropriate code (paragraph 3.2),refer-enced in the applicable Material Specification or Test Method.
5.3.2Test specimens or material samples to be ud to produce test specimens shall be positioned in the conditioning environment such that, wherever possi-ble,all material faces are expod to the conditioning atmosphere. It is preferable that small samples/spec-imens shall be freely suspended in the area, and that larger samples/specimens be supported on a wire rack.If a conditioning cabinet is ud,samples shall also be evenly distributed inside the cabinet.During the conditioning period, frequent disturbance of the conditioning environment shall be avoided.T esting shall be conducted in the conditioned environment or immediately (≤5minutes)after removal from the con-ditioned environment.
