Dirty rain, called acid rain（酸雨）, is also bad for plants, animals and buildings. Scientists say that in 30 years, more than half of the people in the world won't have enough dean water. We have to learn how to stop wasting water. One of the first steps is to develop ways of reusing it. Today in most large cities, water i~ ud only once and then re out into a wer system（下水道）. From there it returns to the a or goes underground.
But even though every large city reud its water, we would still not have enough. So we should make u of a water by removing the salt in it. If we can take the steps, fresh water won't be ud up.

One cold winter night in Shanghai, I was walking home at one in the morning after long tiring work. I was having trouble with my job in the bank. As I walked, I thought riously about giving up living there. City life had become too much for me.
As I walked down empty streets, I felt very small and cold. I began running, both to keep warm and to keep away any possible danger. Very few people were still out except a few sad-looking homeless people under blankets（毛毯）.
