Erdrich's latest novel, Shadow Tag, published in 2010, is the chilling tale of a failing marriage between two Native American people of differing tribal backgrounds, who artistic and family life deteriorate into ennui厌倦,无聊, deceit and abu, all of which are attributed to the overbearing, potentially sociopathic反社会的 tendencies of a domineering刚愎自用,喜欢支配别人的, abusive 骂人的,攻击性的husband but who, despite it all, cannot live with or without each other.
