TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF
THERMAL INSULATION CONSTRUCTION
1 KEY POINTS OF QUA LITY CONTROL
1.1 Conditions for Thermal Insulation Construction
1.1.1 The design documents and other technical documents are all ready, the construction
drawings have been jointly checked up, and the construction execution plan and construction scheme have been approved for implementation.
2.1.2 The necessary technical explanation and training to operators have been
accomplished when applying new process and new technique.
2.1.3 Thermal insulation construction for equipment and piping must be done after the
strength test and pressure test are qualified and anti-corrosion construction is
completed.
2.1.4 The following conditions must be got ready before thermal insulation application.
(1) Supports and fixers have been mounted.

(2) Supports and hangers of equipment and piping, structure accessories and
bizinstrument connection parts have been installed already.

or pressure test have been done and qualified.
(4) mpurities like oil dirts, rusts and dirts have been removed from the equipment
and piping surface.
1.2 Construction of Thermal Insulation
sharply
1.2.1 Before thermal insulation construction, the equipment, piping and accessories must be
checked thoroughly, installation, welding and anti-corrosion construction must be confirmed as qualified and hand-over procedure must be gone through. The quality certificate of insulation materials, measurement record and other construction technical documents shall all be ready.

1.2.3 Accessories on equipment or piping to be hot insulated such as skirts, legs, lifting lugs,
instrument tube ats, supports and hangers shall be hot insulated as per design requirement. While tho on equipment or piping to be cold insulated must be cold insulated accordingly.
1.2.4 When the insulation layer is in compound structure, constructed of two different
hottest girls
materials, the thickness and construction quence of each layer must be complied with the design specification.reputation什么意思
1.2.5 The joint gap of insulation must be procesd. The hot insulation gap shall not be larger
than 5mm, and the cold insulation gap shall not be larger than 2mm.
1.2.6 The hot insulation layers should be bound with galvanized iron wire, steel tape or
issnadhesive tape. The hard insulation materials could be bound with twin 16# to 18# galvanized iron wires, and the bounding space should not be larger than 400mm. In ca the outer diameter of pipe or equipment is larger or equal to 600mm, the insulation layers after bound should be reinforced with 10# to 14# galvanized iron wire or steel tape with the reinforcement space of 500mm. The cold insulation layers should be bound with stainless steel wire, stainless steel tape or plastic wrap tape. There should be at least 2 binding on each insulated part. The spiral binding shouldn’t be applied.
While construction, the nameplate and marks of equipment or piping shouldn’t be covered, and waterproof aling should be done around nameplates that have at support.
1.2.7 The thermal insulation of flanges should be done after the cold/hot fastening of the joint
bolts, and the clearance with the bolt length plus 25mm should be rerved at one end of the flange.
1.2.8 Besides hot insulation as pipe bundle as per the design requirement, all the piping for
general rvice shall be hot insulated individually.接电话用英语怎么说
1.2.9 Installation of Fixers and Supports
The fixers and supports of vertical equipment and vertical piping should be provided and installed according to the design, which can be fixed by welding, adhering, or banding.
The fixers and supports should be made of stainless steel while directly welded to stainless steel equipment or piping. If the fixers and supports are made of carbon steel, stainless steel bed plate must be welded in addition. If bolts are ud to fasten the fixers at vibrating part of the equipment, the nut should be fixed by spot welding after fastened.
