valvesoftwareWhat I Have Learnt from Renaissance电影院用英语怎么说
上海服装设计学校Abstract: Renaissance refers to the time period in the European civilization towards the end of Middle age which is characterized by a surge of interest in classical learning and values. The most striking feature of Renaissance is doubtlessly humanism. This thesis is mainly about an outline of Renaissance and something Ive learnt from Renaissance and my preparation of my PPT.
As everyone knows, the Renaissance is very important in the history of western world. Both historians and writers and many scholars speak highly of the things which were left during that period of time: the sculptures 《Pieta》、《David》 by Michelangelo, the oil paints 《the last supper》 and 《Mona Lisa》by Leonardo Da Vinci, 《Madonna of the Meadow》、《School of Athens》by Raphael.
Now, I have learned something about Renaissance through the process of preparing the prentation, so I have a new review on the Renaissance. And I want to say something about the Renaissance and what I think of the Renaissance.
Renaissance refers to the time period in the European civilization towards the end of Middle age which is characterized by a surge of interest in classical learning and values. It emerged Social instability、economic sluggishness and intellectual depression became so intolerable that most of the people especially the intellectuals could no longer accept the worning situation. It first started in Florence, and expanded to Rome and other Italian cities before it swept the rest parts of Europe.

And its major achievements were en in six areas including painting, sculpture, poetry, fiction, drama and religious reformation as well as the change in the cultural and intellectual climate. The most striking feature of Renaissance is doubtlessly humanism. That is, the topic of the Renaissance is to preach humanistic spirit. Humanist ideals led to a widespread concern with education and many schools were formed, especially for boys who were educated in the faith of Christ and in classical literature (girls were for centuries deprived of a formal education). The study of Christian and pagan authors was en as t
he best way to prepare men for the vicissitudes of life. Thus classical authors were studied as guides to life. An important aspect of the rhetorical training of the humanist schools in the Renaissance was the absorption of large numbers of received conventions or commonplaces of description (such as traditional similes) called topoi. All Renaissance students were taught, as part of their basic training, to amplify, vary, and enrich the topoi or received ideas in novel or copious ways. Though Renaissance started in Italy, and flourished very later in England, an important English writer should be mentioned—Shakespeare. Both Protestantism and humanism had a formative influence on the genius of William Shakespeare. In common with other Elizabethan dramatists, his dramas broke away from the religious domination evident in the crypto-Catholic mystery and morality plays of the medieval era, and show an interest in the classics that is matched by a vivid social realism. Of all his dramas, the tragedies are generally regarded as Shakespeare’s supreme achievement. As in Greek tragedy, many of the main figures are kings and queens (e. g. Claudius and Gertrude in Hamlet); ordinary individuals are not yet considered appropriate vehicles for edification. However, we do not remember Hamlet be

During the Tudor age the fate of a nation depended to a greater extent than in medieval times on the character of the rulers; it is therefore not surprising that drama produced the greatest literary individuals the stage had ever en. The tragic fate of the individuals is not caud by external forces outside their control but is of their own making: their downfall is caud by specific features of character or weakness expod under exceptional circumstances. Consider Hamlet’s inability to make up his mind, for example; a tragic flaw that led to his own death and the death of many innocent people. The tumultuous nature of his time had made Shakespeare acutely aware of the precariousness of fortune and character, and how quickly the veneer of civilizations could disintegrate under adver conditions.
In the long history of the medieval times, Christian theology preaches the thought of abstinence. In their opinion, people need to limit their desire and believe in God, and then they can’t pursuit anything, including spite, xual desire and so on. In a world people only can pursuit spiritual need, that’s to devote them to God so that they can go to the heaven after they die. As Christian was the ruling power in the history of medieval times,
people have no doubt about the theory of Christian. But a plague broke off in the fourteenth century. In the plague many people lost their life though they were faithful to God. As a result, people started to not believe in the God. Also they found the thought of abstinence was not so uful to relieve their pain of the flesh .All of the support mass basis and ideological basis for the Renaissance. The great people pay all of their focus to people’ disappointment at the thought of abstinence, so they created many works to preach their view to liberate human nature and advocate people to experience all human nature desires.
figMany people consider the Renaissance as such a very great event that all of the points it advocated are right. But from my point of view, some of the points are certain to be good; on the other hand, some are too radical.
As we know, though we are nior animal, we are still animal. Some desires are necessary for us, so it’s our right to pursuit the pleasure of the flesh. Also, human-being should be smart enough to support ourlves, and we can believe ourlves to create be

There is no doubt that only we ourlves can create happy life for ourlves, and other people never can do the things for us. Sometimes other people can help us when we have difficulty in pursuing our dream in a way, but most things still need to be done by ourlves. Other people may have a supportive influence on us. As a result if we want to achieve success, want to make great achievement, we should u our diligence, ideas and courage to defeat the difficulties which block us to reach our target.
Many works of the painters、sculptures、writers and artists are to prai the beauty of human-being, including body and wisdom, for example , the sculpture《David》 by Michelangelo is to show the beauty of human-being's body . When we look at the sculpture, it’s certain for us to feel the power and strength David owes, and then we can associate with every person. Also when we look at the painting < Madonna> by Rafael, we can feel the love of woman, even though she is a Notre Dame. In other word, the God also have the side of love. So it’s normal for us, human-being, to love. All the points cal

With the direction of the thought, more and more people began to believe themlves and lo their trust in theory of Christian, and they started to pursuit happiness and explore the world in their own way. So people who lived in that area achieved much success in other fields, too. Columns, Vasco da Gama who open up the new route in the a also were influenced by the spirit of humanistic spirit. Besides, much science progress can be owed to the spirit of humanistic spirit, for the humanistic spirit encourages the scientists to explore the world with a new and scientific view. So people abandon many wrong points that were put forward by Christian. With the strive of scientists, much of new scientific phenomenon and nature law was discovered, such as Cape Town’s three law, Law of free fall and so on . In a word, the humanistic spirit help human-being achieve lots of progress which contribute to the development of the history of human-being.
