My hometown Changsha, situated in the east and central part of Hunan province and on the lower reaches of Xiang River is a booming place and boasts the reputation of being one of the most livable cities in China. I have lived here since 1992. Here, multi-storey office buildings and living quarters are springing up like mushrooms, creating ornaments of modernity for the city. nctive local cuisine, it attracts both natives and tourists from home and board in astronomical numbers. What’s more, new areas spread in all directions like spilt water. However, the best thing about my hometown is the people. They are kind and hospitable. They try to help each other in hard times and share happiness in good times. Sometimes it feels like we’re all one big happy family. Like other cities of our country, my hometown is becoming rich and prosperous. I love it very muc h becau it’s the place where I was born and brought up, and becau i have numerous schoolmates, friends and relatives there.
