题型四:例证题
1. 题型要求
此题型旨在考查文中出现的某个事例、数据、引言等论据的作用,通常来说是为了支持作者的观点。常见提问方式为:
① What does the example of … illustrate?
② The example of … is ud to show that _____.
③ The author mentions … in Paragraph … in order to _____.
2. 解题思路
举例的目的多为论证观点(支持或反对),所以此题的解题重点不在例子上,而在例子前面的观点句或者结论中,需要在例子前或后的观点句中寻找答案,通常也就是寻找例子所在段落的主旨句。例子标志:for instance, for example, such as,引号。
3. 解题技巧
(1)出现例子中的细节信息基本可判定为错误项;
(2)看前看后看主旨。

1. 题型要求
主旨题要求在阅读有关文章后能够概括出中心思想,确定段落大意或选定最佳标题,题干中出现subject, summarize, main idea, mainly about, best title, primary about, main topic等表达。常见提问方式为:

2. 解题思路
寻找主题句或主题词

3. 解题技巧
(1)错误选项多为描述细节或仅在某段出现过一次的内容(小);
(2)不能包含无依据信息(无);
(3)正确选项应包含主题词或其同义替换词;
(4)主题句的同义改写。

题型六:态度题
1. 题型要求
此题型旨在询问文章中作者或者文中某一人物针对某现象的主观态度或看法,常见提问方式为:
The author’s attitude toward Reding’s appeal is one of ____ .
2. 解题思路
(1)作者的态度基本分为3类:一是支持,赞同,乐观;二是客观,中立;三是反对,批评,怀疑和悲观。
(2)从段落的主旨句,文中出现的例句中以及转折和总结的语句中都可以看到作者的态度。除了考察作者的态度,也有题目考查到文中某个人的观点和态度,所以要注意审题。
3. 解题技巧
(1)表示客观的词多为正确选项,如objective, impartial;
(2)既然写了文章,那么作者的态度就不会是漠不关心,因此当见到indifferent, uninterested以及感情色彩强烈的消极态度词基本可作为炮灰词排除;
(3)作者引用他人观点时,勿必分辨清楚作者引用的观点是作为支持还是反对的例证,要注意区分作者本人的态度和作者引用的观点的态度。
