"Employee wellness" has been a popular catch-phra in business for many years, and with the spiraling costs of health-care benefits, savvy employers are adopting new programs to encourage employees to take better care of themlves.
Many business recognize that offering wellness programs is a long-term strategy that will pay dividends of lower employee abnteeism, incread productivity and reduced health-care expens.
Although it's important to educate and support employees with major health concerns, employers should consider the importance of keeping the other 80 percent of employees healthy.
